Founded in 2022, with the mission of providing a local, high quality source of specialty mushrooms, & mushroom-based products. We currently focus on providing a local wholesale supply of fresh mushrooms to near by restaurants & grocers. Looking to the future, we strive for our company to be involved in every aspect of the Mushroom Industry. Meet the Founder & Owner
"Hi, I'm Will Cotton! Mushrooms have always peaked my curiosity since I was a little kid. I would love to investigate them whenever I would encounter any mushrooms, or other Fungi, on my many excursions into the woods surrounding my childhood home. It wasn't until I was much older that I realized I could grow my own, but at the time it was not something I saw as a possible future business opportunity. For many years it was a fun hobby, & way to provide food, not knowing how I could possibly grow it into a successful business. I kept that hope that I could, though. Because the more research I did into the world of Fungi, I realized how much they could help us. To not just sustainably feed the world, but to heal the planet, our bodies & build a sustainable economy for the future. Realizing this really lit a spark inside me to get involved with the bigger industry of mushroom growing. Eventually I was blessed to have the finances & space to build this passionate hobby of mine into a business. From there WilCot Mushroom Company was born & has taken off in ways I could not have imagined. I enjoy every aspect of the process, from the intense labor of farming to the delivering of each order & seeing happy customers. I am thankful I get to pass along that passion to others who turn my mushrooms into plates of artwork."
